On the market can be found various simplistic headlight intakes for E36. But none of them incorporated a professional filtering in same unit. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI had earlier got asked to design this but when I told what it will cost, the Finnish drifting team owner vanished. Around half a year later my trusted customer from Chicago contacted, he was going away from S54 platform in his E36 racecars and instead having turbo builds. After the first one was done, he also expressed interest to second one right away for another E36 M42 Turbo racecar, this time with bigger turbo, so second custom version was done.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThanks to this customer I have now 2 variants to offer. Selecting great and fitting filter was also taking time, I went through whole K\u0026amp;N catalog and few others, before finding this tightly into space fitting filter from prestigious British manufacturer Proram. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have been in direct talks with the Proram company and it is well suited for the task. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAgain like so many times more my part is more elaborate than what already has been available. But I believe that hard work and dedication both in thought and in construction pays off in real world use. At the time of writing this I am just ready to send the first 2 units to customer for race use. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePart is full 24 hours of printing in two 12 hour sessions. Then it is joined from center seam together with combined 1meter lenght of strenghtening stainless steel bars inside it, then after that it is bolted together and after that I will spend third day of production manually melting the two halves together permanently from all seam surfaces. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMaking the part is full work week to do and also contains Proram Filter and lots of material cost. Hence the price, you get what you pay for, especially in performance and reliability of part. All parts are made from order so expect around week from payment to shipping starting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNOTE: SPECIFY THE HOSE SIZE BELOW.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNOTE: Being designed for turbo use, this fits right side (exhaust side) headlight space. A custom mirrored part can be done to intake side for naturally aspirated cars, or both sides in rare V8, V10, V12 \/ Twin Turbo cases. If you need custom hose outlet size it can be also engineered for additional design cost.
